Chrissy and John are the ultimate power couple.
On Dec. 1, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden hosted their first White House state dinner, welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte Macron.
Several celebrities attended, like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. Teigen wore a blush-pink off-the-shoulder gown, while John looked handsome in a black suit and bow tie.
The Adam Project star Jennifer Garner’s teenage daughter, Violet Affleck, made a rare public appearance at the state dinner, which took place on the same day as her 17th birthday.
Grammy winner Jon Batiste arrived at the state dinner with his wife, Suleika Jaouad, and the rest of their family. Batiste also performed at the historic event.
Turns out the state dinner was a major family affair. Veep actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus invited her son Charles Hall as her plus-one to the event.
Oscar winner Ariana DeBose was subtly sparkling in a black Tony Ward gown with a shimmering yellow-accented neckline. Activist Henry R. Muñoz III accompanied her.
The Late Show host Stephen Colbert attended the state dinner with his wife, Evelyn McGee-Colbert, who wore a dress with floral accents.
Of course, this being a White House event, there were a few politicians there, too. U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg came with his husband, Chasten Buttigieg.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, came too. Last month, Pelosi announced she'll step down as a House Democrats leader but will remain in Congress.
Several media titans attended too, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts. Oh, Elvis director Baz Luhrmann was there too.
Oh, to be in that room! At one point, Macron and Biden toasted with a glass of champagne. Talk about a star-studded way to kick off the end of the year.
