These Adorable Squirrels Are Having A Way Better Snow Day Than You (Photos)
Squirrels generally aren't considered to be especially “cute” animals.
I'd like to argue they should be: Between their furry little bodies, their fluffy tails and their general tininess, they're not so different, than say, bunnies. And people love bunnies.
We've got to drop this squirrel stigma.
If my argument isn't convincing enough, perhaps the below photos will turn you into a squirrel lover.
Shot by Russian photographer Vadim Trunov, the closeup shots feature a pair of squirrels playing with each other in the snow.
By leaving food in a clearing, he was able to attract the squirrels long enough to capture a series of truly amazing shots demonstrating the critters' foraging behavior.
Trunov also set up an additional camera as an object for the squirrels to interact with, and hilariously, some of the resulting images make them look like furry photographers in training.
If you can't admit the little guys are at least a little cute after seeing these awesome action shots, you probably have no soul.
Check 'em out below and see more of Trunov's incredible photography here.
It's a squirrel snowball fight!
This guy is like, "Hey, do you want to build a snowman?"
And his friend is all, "No, I'm busy with my camera."
Good thing they can entertain themselves.
This one is casually practicing his throwing technique.
It's all in a day's work.
"Say, 'Acorn!'"
Will work for pinecones.
Round two of squirrel sports: volleyball edition.
As you can see, it's an intense game.
This smirk says it all.
They're just too cute.
Squirrel power!
