Genius Artist Makes Working Nintendo Console Out Of A Retro Toaster

by Kaylin Pound

If you thought the boring toaster in your kitchen was only good for burning your morning bagel, think again.

You might be surprised to know you can actually do a lot of things with an ordinary toaster -- all you need is a little imagination and some pretty impressive DIY skills.

Recently, one Finnish artist named Jarno Kotavuopio set out to give his old toaster a new playful purpose.

Kotavuopio took a vintage toaster and transformed it into a fully functioning Nintendo game console.

That's right, your beloved childhood games like Super Mario Bros have just been resurrected with none other than a retro kitchen appliance.

Dubbed the "Nintoaster," this crafty console is pretty epic, and it really brings back memories of blowing the dust out of all those gaming cartridges.

To turn the Nintoaster on, all you have to do is push the plunger down, and you'll get a serious blast from the video game past with all of your long-lost Nintendo classics.

From the chrome finish and internal lights to the glowing buttons, Kotavuopio thought of everything when crafting this insane console.

This thing even has game cartridge covers that actually look like toast.

If only it could also make you breakfast while you saved Princess Peach from Bowser's castle...

Take a look at the pictures below to see this awesome crafty kitchen console.
