Who Cares About Diving? This Belly Flop Competition Is Pure Entertainment
If you've been tuning into the Olympics over the past week, you've probably realized that not all sports have the same entertainment factor.
While watching gravity-defying gymnasts go for gold, or seeing Ryan Lochte strip down to his skivvies may keep your eyes from wandering away from the television, there are a some other Olympic sports that are, well, a bit lackluster to say the least.
If you're in need of some entertainment in between your favorite Olympic events, look no further. We just came across an interesting new sport that's really making a splash.
Allow me to introduce you to the Norwegian sport of "dødsing." If you haven't had the opportunity to watch this entertaining activity before, let me fill you in.
Dødsing is basically a bougie belly flop contest, and it's just as amazing as it sounds.
Brave body flop participate jump from a 10 meter board and keep their bodies straight for a long as possible, before finally curling their bodies as the last second to prevent a seriously painful splash.
If watching a bunch of people do belly flops doesn't sounds entertaining enough for you, you'll be glad to know that each diver puts his or her own creative spin on the classic belly flop, thus making the whole thing even more hilarious.
Seriously, all of these belly flop athletes deserve a gold medal in my book.
