Sheer and risk-taking cuts is the new black.

Alexa, play "Get Naked" by Britney Spears. At this year's Met Gala, stars continued to prove that flesh-baring dresses will always be a statement. From the ceremony's white carpet to the after-party, here are some risque looks that had viewers doing a double take — in a good way.

The last time Olivia Wilde boarded the sheer dress train, award show producers cut her ride short. Luckily, she didn’t get that treatment at the Met Gala’s after-party. ICYMI, the actor wore a silver netted dress paired with black underwear and chunky boots.

In gilded Schiaparelli we trust. Serving as one of the gala’s co-chairs, Michaela Coel lived up to the title with this nude look. According to Vogue, the actor wore a sheer, gold gown from the Italian brand that dripped with large crystals and mixed stones.

Janelle Monae didn’t need any razor-sharp tailoring or coverings. At the gala’s after-party, the singer kept it stunningly straightforward and wore a glittery black bikini set with pearl straps and Thom Browne wedge heels.

Oh, this look was a *moment.* Early in the Met Gala evening, Rita Ora wore a Prabal Gurung gown that mixed sheer finishes with a gothic-inspired train.

Ora continued her bare-all statement at the after-party, where she was seen in a black two-piece set. For a touch of gilded glam, the singer layered chains, pearls, and a brown fur coat to complete the look.

In order to deliver sheer greatness, Kendall Jenner tapped the legend of mesh dresses — Nensi Dojaka — for her after-party look. Her outfit, inspired by a see-through ensemble from Chanel’s Spring 1994 line, featured a sequined bodysuit, pearl straps, and with a bold thong.

When it came to sheer-meets-sultry glam, English model Karen Elson understood the assignment. At the gala, Elson wore a Christian Siriano gown dolled with oversized florals.

Now, this is a glimmering example that a birthday suit is probably the best suit. Lil Nas X appeared on the white carpet in nothing but a metallic thong, silver body paint, and pearl jewels across his face. You know, iconic sh*t.
