It's the greatest time of the year. No, not Christmas; it's Halloween. I can't tell you how much I love Halloween. Sure, the candy, the costumes, and the pumpkins are all great, but what gets me in the spirit are all the great movies to watch this time of year. I feel like there are a million films that come to mind when you want to get in the spooky, creepy mood of All Hallows' Eve. There are a lot to choose from, but what are the best '90s Halloween movies to watch with your girls?

You can get a good mix of scary, and just downright fun. You also need a mix of all your creatures from your witches to your ghosts. There are some that everyone loves and some cult classics. It's definitely hard to choose. It feels like a real Sophie's Choice-type situation, which is why any movie you can't get to with your besties, you can watch on your own. That's the magic of Halloween; it comes every year.

So, when you're planning this year's movie marathon with your girls, here are 10 movies you must have. So, pop some popcorn and get your blankets ready, because it's Halloween movie time!

1. "The Addams Family" (1991)

You should spend every Halloween with your favorite spooky family, The Addams Family. This movie has everything you need: funny jokes, great characters, and a spooky house. Oh, and one day I will find the Gomez to my Morticia Addams.

2. "Casper"  (1995)

Another Christina Ricci treasure -- she is like the Queen of Halloween. Casper is a fun classic for Halloween, but all your friends can agree, we watch for one thing and one thing only; the brief scene where Casper turns into Devon Sawa. Swoon.

Yes, Devon Sawa, you can keep us.

3. "Beetlejuice" (1988)

Don't say his name three times, or else he will show up, but Beetlejuice is a must for Halloween. It's got an amazing cast with Michael Keaton playing the title role, Beetlejuice. I think we've all danced to "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" like ghosts have possessed us, right? Great, I made it through without saying Beetlejuice again...oops.

4. "Tower Of Terror" (1997)

Before Pirates of the Caribbean did it, Tower of Terror was the movie based on the ride, and it's a good one. This movie is scary, but so exciting. It also gives a whole new light to the ride, so it's a new experience for next time you go to Disney World.

5. "Teen Witch" (1989)

You need a witch movie to throw in the mix with your girls, and there's no better one than Teen Witch. If anything, you need to watch just for the "Top That" scene. It's iconic and not to be missed.

6. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993)

The Nightmare Before Christmas just screams holiday spirit. It's the perfect movie to just keep on all through the end of the year. It's both a Christmas and Halloween movie.

7. "Halloweentown" (1998)

Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown) is right, "Halloween is cool." Don't we all wish we were secretly witches and could go to Halloweentown? Once you're done watching this one, you can watch all the Disney Channel Original Movie sequels like Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge.

8. "Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone" (2001)

OK, so this one isn't exactly from the '90s, but Halloween is best spent with the boy who lived. Honestly, I can't think of a better place to be than the Wizarding World, so we have to take it back to the beginning of Harry's Hogwarts days.

For this movie, you and your girls can whip up a batch of butter beer to drink.

10. "Hocus Pocus" (1993)

We've saved the best for last. This is the iconic Halloween movie that everyone must see each year. You cannot have Halloween without the Sanderson Sisters. It just wouldn't be right. So, get your girls together, start the movie, and cause "amuck amuck amuck."

After all, Halloween is "just bunch of Hocus Pocus."
