9 Signs You And Your BFF Are Basically An Old Married Couple
Whether you've known each other for a few months, or been totally tight since kindergarten, your BFF plays a major role in your life.
She's your go-to for any and all crises. From finding the perfect outfit, to grieving over a horrible breakup, she's always there for you.
You never know where and when you might meet your perfect match. Sometimes, they've been right in front of you since the beginning, and you never even realized it. And other times, they materialize out of thin air right when you need them the most.
When you find the right person, you just instantly click; it's a connection unlike any other. You'll know by how easily you can laugh and cry together that this person is the one, aka your forever person.
Here are nine signs you and your BFF are basically an old married couple.
1. You help each other out with the grossest things.
Got something in your teeth? Let me get that.
Pop that pimple on your back? No problem.
Need a deodorant check? Girl, you're fresher than the prince of Bel-Air.
2. You could argue for hours over where to eat.
When you and your bestie can't agree on where to get food, no one's going to be eating anytime soon. Someone is going to have to give in or compromise, but knowing you two, that will take awhile.
The only thing worse than disagreeing about where to eat is when neither of you know what you're in the mood for. If that's the case, you can kiss your dinner plans goodbye.
3. Girls' night out is basically date night.
You've had this planned for weeks, and you even bought a chic new top to mark the occasion. You've spent all evening getting ready, up until she finally pulls into your driveway.
She drives you both to Chipotle, where you offer to split the check. She won't let you pay, but you can buy drinks when you turn up in the club.
You and your BFF dance the night away without a care in the world. She asks if you want to do this again next week, and the answer is definitely, "yes."
4. You could fill a scrapbook (or a few) with your photos and memories.
No matter how long you've been in each other's lives, you've made more memories than you can recall. Your camera roll is mostly silly selfies and candid snaps of the two of you in different places, as it should be.
5. You have inside jokes for days.
When you spend enough time with someone, you develop a form of spoken and non-verbal communication that only you two will ever understand.
Adding inside jokes to the equation promises never-ending giggles, and an even stronger connection with your BFF.
Bonus points if you can remember inside jokes from high school.
6. You two can always be 100 percent real with each other.
If you have to censor yourself, or put on an act for your friend, they're not your BFF. A true friend accepts you for who you are, including your quirks and faults (we all have them).
A best friend will love you because of your imperfections, because that's what makes you unique.
7. What's yours is theirs, and what's theirs is yours.
If it can be shared, you've shared it.
You got over the cooties thing back in fourth grade and can now be seen swapping Starbucks drinks with your bestie like it's nothing.
If you can't find that cute band crop top you love, odds are your BFF has it and it's not lost forever.
8. Your family knows your bestie almost as well as you do.
Best friends are a package deal. If your family is having a party, she'll be there. If she shows up unexpectedly, she's welcomed in with open arms like she's a member of the family -- which she totally is.
9. No matter what, you'll always be there for each other.
The BFF title comes with a big commitment, one that neither of you will ever break. You took a vow to each other to always love one another in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, and so on.
You love your bestie like she's your other half, and you aren't afraid to show it.
