Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings has released their 2023 collection, which features princess-inspired bridal gowns from Disney and Allure Bridals. This collection of 21 new Disney wedding dresses has innovative fabrics and magical details that are a must-see for fans of the animated films.
This wedding dress inspired by Belle is actually Nikki Deeds’ favorite from the collection. Deeds, the Global Brand Manager from Allure Bridals, notes that the Belle design is very “timeless and classic.” It features a “beautiful rose motif” lace train that gives a nod to the enchanted rose in the film, and is accented by a bow in the back.
Korri McFann, the Director of Marketing for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, says the Tiana wedding dress “harkens back to the Jazz Age.” She notes that it’s “sparkly” with “over 1000 beads and sequins,” making it “modern but retro all in one.”
One way of incorporating the sea into Ariel’s dress was to use pearls. This style from the 2023 Disney wedding dress collection features a pearlescent drape. Pearlcore has been a big wedding trend before with its ties to Regencycore, so this dress is the perfect combination of your Disney and Bridgerton fandoms.
Inspired by Rapunzel in Tangled, this Disney wedding dress features a “uniquely-made burnout brocade satin,” according to Deeds. This one-of-a-kind fabric has a “floral motif” that looks like something Rapunzel would wear on her “best day ever.”
Transitional dresses are great for going from the ceremony to the reception. This Jasmine dress has removable tulle sleeves that Deeds says gives “two different looks.” The “amazing lacework and laser cuts” in the dress makes it one of McFann’s favorites.
A popular 2023 wedding dress trend is color. To follow that trend, Deeds revealed, “With one of Cinderella's dresses, we incorporated a little bit of a blue tone, which we call our Platinum, so it kind of gives that essence of Cinderella.”
The small details on each of the dresses feel like hidden easter eggs inspired by the princesses. For Pocahontas’ wedding dress, Deeds shares, “We tried to make the appliques very organic and kind of leaf-like.” The natural features are very reminiscent of the “Colors of the Wind” scene and Grandmother Willow.
Don’t sleep on Aurora’s wedding dresses in the collection. This particular style is perfect “for that bride who wants something a little more clean and simple,” according to Deeds. While the fabric may seem simple, the gown itself is still very princess-like and makes a statement.
Snow White’s dress is known for her statement puff sleeves, so two of the Snow White-inspired wedding dresses in this collection feature gorgeous sleeves. While one is more of a Juliet-inspired long sleeve style, this puff cap sleeve is perfect for any season. You’ll feel like the fairest of them all while wearing it.
