Green Home Aesthetic

Expert Anna Olsen from JOANN is seeing more indoor plants for spring 2022. Not only do plants boost your mood and purify the air, but they also create a green home aesthetic. If you don’t have a green thumb, you can make do with faux plants like these ($30, JOANN).

Kitchen Living Spaces

Since you’ve been likely spending more time in your kitchen, JOANN believes that kitchen living spaces will be big. That may mean you want to organize your pantry like Khloé Kardashian by investing in sleek storage like these dry food dispensers ($87, JOANN).

Funky Home Office

Pinterest is seeing a funky home office trend this spring. Data Insights Leader Swasti Sarna says, “funky home decor includes looks from the ‘70s such as peace signs and bright colors.” So, DIY a foam mirror or get a disco ball planter ($19, Etsy) for your WFH desk.

Cottagecore Countryside

Cottagecore is going strong, but Michaels’ Andrea Manning says 2022 will also see countryside decor with designs inspired by quilts, strawberries, and chickens. If you’re feeling crafty, DIY wildflower embroidery wall art ($8, Michaels).

Preppy Bedroom

Pinterest is also seeing an increase in preppy apartment decor. According to Sarna, that includes “pops of color such as a light blue couch, green chairs, or a pink bed cover.” One way to add vibrancy to your room is with a collage wall ($5, Etsy).

French Chateau

Michaels is also seeing an increase in French chateau home decor, which takes a lot of inspiration from the Bridgerton-inspired Regencycore. An easy way to get on board is to incorporate more pastels, vintage wallpaper ($69, Michaels), and dried flowers ($9, Michaels).

Around The World

Anyone with wanderlust will love this trend that Michaels is seeing. Travel-inspired decor or items you’ve picked up from your vacays are ideal for this. If you need inspo, find some multilingual sentiments ($44, Anthropologie), vintage travel posters ($4, Michaels), and globes ($42, Michaels).

Front Door Refresh

If you’re not sure where to begin, the front door is a great start. Celebrity interior designer Taniya Nayak with FrogTape believes a revive trend is happening and something as simple as painting your front door can embrace that.

Add An Accent Wall

Nayak and FrogTape also recommend adding an accent wall to makeover your space. Be sure to get some painters tape ($25, Ace Hardware) for a clean line and stick with a soft color for your bedroom or home office.

Vibrant Vanity

According to Nayak and FrogTape, another easy way to revive your home this spring is by upgrading your vanity. Adding a fresh coat of paint in a soft pastel color can go a long way in giving your home a new feel.

Grannycore

The experts at Klarna are seeing an increase in grannycore or the grandmillennial aesthetic. This means floral wallpaper ($145, The Detroit Wallpaper Co.), wicker furniture ($23, Etsy), and bookshelves.
