Halloween Horror Nights has made an epic return to Universal Orlando. For its 31st year, HHN is ringing in Oct. 31 with traditional Halloween characters like jack-o’-lanterns and witches. Along with creepy creatures roaming the park, fans can expect Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 2022 haunted houses to be full of frightfully fun scares as well.

The Universal Orlando version of Halloween Horror Nights 2022 has 10 all-new haunted houses, ranging from original ideas to well-known horror films like Halloween. Since lines can get long, you’ll want to know where to head to first when you enter the park. Monsters from hell escaping prison? Sure, that’s scary enough, but not too memorable.

9. Descendants of Destruction

Anyone who has wondered what it’s like inside the tunnels of NYC’s subway system will get their chance to explore it in this post-apocalyptic house filled with mutants.

8. The Horrors of Blumhouse

Fans of Freaky and The Black Phone will enjoy seeing scenes from the films recreated IRL. However, this house felt disjointed between the two. Bonus points, though, are awarded to the LOL-worthy Freaky deaths.

7. Spirits of the Coven

You begin in a 1920s speakeasy run by flapper witches, and travel through to see those same witches turn into haggard versions of themselves. It’s a fun story and the speakeasy has hilarious details.

6. Fiesta de Chupacabras

The Chupacabras’ first appearance at HHN is a memorable one. Whether you’re a fan of the folklore or not, you’ll love walking through the well-designed Latin American village of this house.

5. Universal Monsters: Legends Collide

You can’t go wrong with an epic battle between the Mummy, Dracula, and the Wolf Man, where the winner changes nightly.

4. Bugs: Eaten Alive

If roaches, spiders, and ants crawling around you are your worst nightmare, this house is not for you. At times, you’ll even feel like you’re walking into spiderwebs and flying insects.

HHN has done Halloween before, but this is one of the best iterations that will make you feel like you’re in the 1978 classic with Michael Myers around every corner.

2. Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake

This is the most gorgeous and well-designed house that will truly make you feel like you’re walking around a haunted New England pier at night.

1. The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare

The Weeknd’s haunted house gives a whole new meaning to scream-singing. One minute you’ll be dancing to “Blinding Lights,” and the next, you’ll be running for your life.
