Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella's Life Is Being Turned Into A Memoir And Movie

by Kristen Lyn Ingram

Fox 2000 has made a preemptive deal to acquire "Insomniac: The Life And Times of Pasquale Rotella," a forthcoming memoir being penned by the EDM business mogul himself.

Enlisted to assist Rotella in writing his memoir is James Frey, author of "A Million Little Pieces."

The memoir is expected to be published by next summer and is a tell-all account of Pasquale's meteoric rise from rags to riches in the dance music industry.

Fox 2000 plans to eventually transform the memoir into a cinematically scripted take on the EDM world, taking "an edgy '8 Mile'/'Social Network' look at a provocative character scratching for his share of the American dream."

The movie version of "Insomniac: The Life And Times of Pasquale Rotella" will mark Pasquale's second box office premiere, with the EDC documentary "Under The Electric Sky" in select theaters now.
