Olympic Athletes Need To Have This Much Sex To Use Up The Condoms They'll Get

Apparently the actual athletic events of the Olympics are just a big cover for the actual intentions of the Olympic Games: to gather the most physically fit people in the world for a non-stop, two-week-long, super orgy.

Metro reports that at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, 20,000 extra condoms had to be rush ordered after the 70,000 that had been provided to the Olympic Village ran out halfway through the games.

American target shooter Josh Lakatos said of those games years later,

I've never witnessed so much debauchery in my entire life.

During the Olympics, all the athletes live in what's called the Olympic Village. Basically, it's like camp, if all the people at camp had the body of Zeus and had been working their whole lives to get to this camp, only to find out, two or three days in, that they did or did not win the camp contest and now have nothing left to do but fuck one another.

I've never witnessed so much debauchery in my entire life.

For the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the International Olympic Committee ordered 450,000 condoms for the athletes in the Olympic Village. According to Metro, this is literally three times more than the number ordered for the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

Now, that extremely high number likely has something to do with the Zika virus, which can be spread through sexual intercourse. The IOC is terrified of running out of condoms, and this time, it will not be taking the sexual appetites of its Olympians lightly.

I've seen people having sex out in the open, getting down and dirty on grass between buildings.

During the 2012 London Olympics, Metro points out, there were reports Grindr kept crashing because of a huge increase in demand from the Olympic Village.

There are reportedly 10,500 athletes competing in Rio, and the 2016 Rio Olympics will last 17 days. So, each athlete would have to have sex about 43 times to use up all the condoms supplied.

During the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, American soccer goalie Hope Solo said, “There's a lot of sex going on at the Olympics,” and she claimed she'd “seen people having sex out in the open, getting down and dirty on grass between buildings.”

Oh, and it doesn't stop with condoms: The IOC also ordered 175,000 packets of lube, Metro reports.

Let the games begin.
