Wine-Drunk Student Crashes Into Cop Car While Sending Topless Snapchat To BF
They say you should never drink and drive. But apparently, you should really never drink, drive and try to take a topless Snapchat selfie.
In today's WTF news, a 19-year-old Texas A&M engineering student reportedly crashed her grey Acura SUV into a parked cop car while attempting to send a topless Snapchat selfie to her boyfriend.
*Facepalm*
According to the City of Bryan Police Department, Miranda Kay Rader was arrested after she crashed her car into a parked patrol vehicle on Wednesday night.
Apparently, Officer John Sartell was responding to a call when he suddenly heard "a vehicle breaking hard." He reportedly saw Rader's car crash into his patrol car. When he went over to her SUV, he saw the airbags were deployed and she was topless.
Speaking on the incident, Officer Sartell reportedly said,
I asked her why she was not dressed while driving and she stated that she was taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at the red light.
Ugh.
Miranda Kay Rader reportedly had an open wine bottle in her Acura, and said she was drinking before she got behind the wheel. In addition to a DWI, Rader was also charged with possession of alcohol as a minor.
I mean, where do I even begin?
Like, I know kids make mistakes: I used to be one. But on what planet is this ever a good idea?
How badly did Miranda's boyfriend need that topless Snapchat pic? I'm sorry, but you simply cannot be this stupid. This young woman is an engineering student, so you'd assume she'd at least be extremely book smart, right?
This is exactly the kind of stupidity that can ruin someone's life before it even gets started. If there's anything positive to take away from this – and there isn't much – it's at least the fact that it appears no one was seriously hurt.
