Chrissy Teigen And John Legend's Gun Control Debate Just Broke The Internet

A little over a week after 49 people were killed in Pulse nightclub in Orlando in the deadliest shooting in American history, the Senate Republicans blocked any efforts to stop something like that from happening again.

The Senate rejected four gun control measures on Monday night. That vote only happened in the first place because Senate Democrats filibustered for 15 hours last week.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are known for being outspoken about their political views, so of course they had something to say about this news.

But, like the world's greatest couple they are, they made their point in a really cute and hilarious way.

First, Legend tweeted seriously.

He started responding to people replying to him, making it clear he wasn't going to back down on this issue.

While Legend was responding to the haters, Chrissy Teigen showed up in his mentions.

As anyone who's ever tweeted about gun control knows, Teigen's reply was a pretty accurate version of what gun advocates say on Twitter. This is especially true for celebrities, who are told to "stick to music" or whatever they're known for.

Of course, Legend had to fire a tweet back at his wife...

...at which point a fan hopped in to try and call them out on their play.
