President Joe Biden’s 2022 State of the Union (SOTU) address is a highly visible (and highly meme-able) event, and as always, Twitter’s got the sharpest takes — for better or worse. These memes about Chuck Schumer clapping at the State of the Union are so awkward, but I gotta laugh.

During the SOTU, Biden highlighted his 2021 stimulus bill. “Unlike the $2 trillion tax cut passed in the previous administration,” Biden started. He was met with a chorus of boos — and Schumer, who stood up to clap too soon. “The American Rescue Plan helped working people,” Biden finished. Then supporters clapped.
