It Looks Like Apple Chose A Design For The New iPhone And There Are Photos
HOLD THE PHONE. Apple has dropped some serious hints as to what the new iPhone might look like.
The firm filed a patent on Tuesday with drawings that suggest a future model could have a wrap-around screen.
The product description reads,
A consumer electronic product includes at least a transparent housing and a flexible display assembly enclosed within the transparent housing. In the described embodiment, the flexible assembly is configured to present visual content at any portion of the transparent housing.
In simple terms, it looks like Apple is completely rewriting the game for this one.
The patent goes on to explain that part of the housing will be "formed of a glass tube."
It gives background to the idea, describing how the Apple product has improved exponentially over the past few years and one way to make it better is to "maximize the utility of unused portions" of the device.
Whatever the hell it's going to look like, these futuristic images have made us fall in love with Apple all over again.
