Trump's Son Had The Dumbest Excuse For Why His Dad Hasn't Released Tax Returns
Donald Trump Jr., Donald Trump's son who you may know from the new poster for The Purge 4, has a cute new reason why the presidential nominee can't release his tax returns.
He can't release them because, then, the younger Donald said, everybody would see them.

Trump has repeatedly dodged requests to release his tax returns. For months, he claimed he could not because he was under an IRS audit.
He has also not released any evidence he actually is under audit.
But now it appears the Trump campaign has changed their tune on the tax return release issue. The new reason is, um, they don't want people to see the tax returns.
Trump Jr. told the Tribune-Review in Pennsylvania,
Because he's got a 12,000-page tax return that would create … financial auditors out of every person in the country asking questions that would detract from (his father's) main message.
So basically, they can't release them because then everyone would see them and talk about them and then people wouldn't be talking about whatever Trump wanted them to be talking about.
Representative Steve King said something similar on CNN on Wednesday. He said,
With a $10 billion business if Donald Trump dumped his taxes out today, there would be all kinds of misinterpretations of that and maybe some real interpretations of that between now and November. That would be the only discussion we'd have.
To reiterate: The Trump campaign really, really does not want us to be talking about Trump's taxes.
Everybody else has released their tax returns to show they're both making money and paying taxes. It's still unclear why Trump has not released his. Many people are saying he does not want people to know he is either not making money or not paying taxes.
Hillary Clinton, for her part, released decades of tax returns.
Vice News filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit on Wednesday to get the IRS audits. Looks like Trump is running out of excuses.
