'Grab Them By The Pussy' Might Be Trump's Worst Quote About Women Yet

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was caught on video boasting about trying to have sex with women while also suggesting he can do anything he wants to them because he's "a star" -- including grabbing them "by the pussy."

The video features a conversation -- captured via a hot microphone -- the real estate mogul had with Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood" while on a bus in 2005.

In the video, which was obtained by the Washington Post, Trump discusses his failed pursuit of an unnamed married woman. He says,

I moved on her and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and fuck her. She was married. I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn't get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. She's totally changed her look.

This conversation occurred while Trump and Bush were on a bus on their way to the set of "Days of Our Lives" to film a segment about Trump's upcoming cameo on the show.

At one point in the video, the two men seem to spot Arianne Zucker, the actress who would ultimately escort them onto set, which you can see toward the end of the video.

When they spot her, Bush says,

Your girl's hot as shit, in the purple.

Trump responds,

Whoa! Whoa!

"The Donald" then talks about his chances of kissing her and claims being famous essentially gives him a free pass to grope women.

He says,

I've gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful -- I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.

According to the Post, this conversation was recorded on September 16, 2005, just a few months after Trump married his third and current wife, Melania.

In a statement to the Post about the recording, Trump said,

This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course -- not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.

Over the course of this election cycle, and especially in recent weeks, Trump and his surrogates have frequently attacked the Clintons over former President Bill Clinton's sexual indiscretions.

In addition to being caught on tape talking about trying to sleep with a married woman shortly after getting remarried for the third time, it's well known Trump had an affair with Marla Maples, his second wife, while he was still married to his first wife, Ivana Trump.

Trump also has a long history of saying offensive things about women, so this newly-revealed tape hardly comes as much of a surprise.

During an interview with New York Magazine in 1992, for example, Trump summarized his overall view of women when he stated,

You have to treat 'em like shit.

It's hard to say which of Trump's misogynistic statements is his worst, but suggesting he can walk up to any women and grab her "by the pussy" is certainly a top contender given it's literally sexual assault.
