'13 Reasons Why' Got A Golden Globe Nomination & Fans Are So, So Thrilled
They're here, ya'll! The 2018 Golden Globe nominees were announced on the morning of Dec. 11 and people are freaking out. In particular, die-hards are losing it on Twitter over the 13 Reasons Why Golden Globe nomination, and we are here for it. Though the show didn't get as many hits in as many categories as some might hope, you know what they say... it's just an honor to be nominated.
Katherine Langford is representing for 13 Reasons Why as a nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. The competition will be fierce, as she's up against acting giants like Elisabeth Moss for her epic work in The Handmaid's Tale and Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Deuce. Obviously, fans are pulling for our girl Langford.
If you're less familiar with her work, let me enlighten you. Langford plays the enchanting and moody teenager Hannah Baker, who ultimately ends her own life. In the show, she leaves behind a series of cassette tapes for various people in her life, breaking down the 13 reasons why she committed suicide. It's a gripping and intense performance.
Obviously, her fans on Twitter are so, SO excited about it.
We've followed Langford at award shows before, but surely this will be the biggest red carpet she's walked yet.
