Grab your popcorn, everybody. We finally know who's going to be vying for Arie Luyendyk's heart. The Bachelor 2018 contestants have been announced — and it's going to be some stiff competition.

There will be 29 women competing for those coveted red roses, and thankfully, each one already has the show's prerequisite shiny hair/dewy skin combo. So, we're off to a good start.

Luyendyk, by the way, is an auto racing driver looking for love. He appeared on the 2012 season of The Bachelorette and ended up being a runner-up. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Robert Mills, ABC's Senior Vice President of Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, said "the timing is right" for Luyendyk to return to the show. He explained,

This year, we met with Arie, and he's really built a life for himself in Arizona. He still does the race car driving thing, but he's also built a very big business in real estate. He has a life now to share with somebody.

OK, so which of the 29 women might have the best shot at Luyendyk's heart?

This season is going to be a big deal for Luyendyk, not only because he's the show's star, but because the whole thing has been a long, long time coming. According to former Bachelor star Sean Lowe, Luyendyk was actually supposed to have appeared on the show's 19th season but it didn't end up working out. Lowe explained to Dish Nation,

From what I understand, the show, the producers that make the show, they wanted Arie. They actually told Arie he was gonna be the Bachelor. They flew down, had a camera crew, filmed him telling his family he was gonna be the next Bachelor – then pulled the rug out from underneath him and made Chris the Bachelor.

Yikes. Well, here's to another season filled with drama, love (?), and all the hot tubs you could possibly ask for.
