The Plaza Is Launching A "Kevin McCallister Experience" For All You Filthy Animals

It's happening, guys. A dream I've had since 1992 is finally coming true. If you've ever imagined a fantastic scenario where you were able to recreate Kevin McCallister's luxurious hotel situation from the masterpiece that is Home Alone 2, you're in luck. In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the beloved holiday film, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is teaming up with The Plaza to offer the Home Alone 2 "Kevin McCallister Experience." Now you can live like your childhood hero for real. Just save room for that triple scoop ice cream sundae.

It's basically the ideal vacation. You get to indulge in a Kevin-inspired New York City holiday without that whole escaping the Sticky (formerly Wet) Bandits thing. And there's no Tim Curry character to get all up in your business. It's a win-win, plus, the option is available soon just in time for Christmas. But it won't be around forever. The Home Alone 2: Lost In New York Anniversary Experience is available at the iconic Plaza Hotel from Nov. 17, 2017 until Jan. 31, 2018. Um, forget Bora Bora or the Greek Islands. I would literally do this for my honeymoon. I'll even bring my own Talkboy.

So, what is the Kevin McCallister experience exactly? According to The Plaza's press release, guests are in for some pretty sweet treats and a unique stay they'll likely never forget:

Beginning November 17, fans both old and new can witness some of the film’s most memorable moments come to life, making sure they catch the correct flight to New York City and experience what was the envy of moviegoers over two decades ago.

Those looking to stay at The Plaza can opt for the “HOME ALONE 2 Anniversary Room Package,” complete with gifts including a branded backpack, copy of the “Anniversary Edition” Blu-ray Paint Can with all 5 Home Alone films and for the literal cherry on top, this booking option will include a complimentary in-room plaza-style-sundae cart ordered via room service. To enhance your Lost In New York experience, The Plaza’s concierge Team is available to curate your city stay with express passes to the top of the Empire State Building, access to Wollman Rink, a limousine pizza journey through NYC and personalized vacation photographer, Flytographer, to capture these moments and turn them into memories.

For others who plan to pop in to The Plaza for their share of the HOME ALONE 2 experience there will be plenty to see and do including a one-of-a-kind photo experience that allows fans to “be Kevin” experiencing his journey throughout the movie. Users will be prompted to pose at various standout movie scene stops. With no parents around, Kevin ate his way through New York City and as a nod to that, The Plaza’s Food Hall will be throwing it back to the 90s, putting unique and upscale twists of household favorites from 25 years ago, such as SpaghettiOs, gourmet hot pockets, Charcuterie Lunchables, Funyun Rings, and Sunny-D and Zima inspired cocktails.

Home Alone 2 is honestly one of the most beloved sequels ever and dare I say I end up re-watching it even more than the original, although I don't need to watch it on a dusty VCR anymore. The Anniversary Edition of the film now available on Blu-ray and DVD! Kevin's NYC shenanigans are next-level entertainment and the sentimental magic of the two turtle doves thing gets me every time. We're not even bothered by the fact that this movie is turning 25, which means we're totally getting old. We're all about that Kevin McCallister life. And now, some very lucky Plaza guests will get to actually live it.
