He’s written profiles of Hannah Einbinder, Chris Olsen, and Geri Halliwell-Horner in addition to editing stories about Dylan Mulvaney, Claudia Conway, Pete Wentz, Vanessa Hudgens, Charlie Puth, and Carly Rae Jepsen, among others.
He previously was a senior features editor at Billboard, where he wrote and edited cover stories for the magazine and oversaw special issues like Billboard’s annual Pride, Grammy Preview, and The No. 1s packages. Stories and projects he edited for the magazine have been finalists for multiple LA Press Club National A&E Awards. Before Billboard, he was a staff editor at Entertainment Weekly and covered culture and breaking news for TIME magazine. He's also written for GQ, New York (Vulture, The Cut, The Strategist), Esquire, and other publications.
Nolan is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. He lives in Brooklyn but is a native of the Bay Area and still says "hella" like he never left California.
