Theresa Massony

Theresa is the Senior Manager of Editorial Operations at Bustle Digital Group, overseeing large-scale editorial projects, initiatives, content planning, and more across the company’s sites — Bustle, Elite Daily, NYLON, The Zoe Report, Romper, Scary Mommy, Fatherly, Inverse, Mic, Gawker, and W Magazine. She also manages the editorial components of some business development partnerships and liaises with BDG’s sales team on editorial campaigns. She is also a freelance writer and editor, covering beauty, fashion, internet culture, lifestyle, wellness, astrology, and more.

A seasoned digital editorial veteran, Theresa was previously the Senior Lifestyle & Wellness Editor at POPSUGAR, where she oversaw the day-to-day editorial strategy and operations for the verticals and their subsections: astrology, tech, mental health, food, relationships, sex, travel, social media, and more. Before POPSUGAR, Theresa was the Senior Style Editor at Elite Daily. In this role, she oversaw Elite Daily's Fashion and Beauty verticals, where she covered, assigned, and edited all fashion and beauty features and daily content; she managed the brand’s industry relationships to ensure Elite Daily was the authority on the evolving fashion and beauty market, particularly for Gen Z consumers. She also styled and oversaw the fashion market work for some Elite Daily photo shoots and hosted two beauty-related Elite Daily social media series, Blend & Snap and Ready in 5, on Instagram and YouTube, respectively.

A graduate from the University of Alabama, Theresa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She has also held prior editorial roles as a copy editor, a dating editor, and a beauty editor. As a Scorpio Sun, Cancer Rising, and an Aries Moon, she’s the definition of astrological chaotic good. After almost a decade in NYC, she now lives in the Hudson Valley with her wife and the pair’s pup Gordo, a perfect, smelly, little nugget.
