15 Instagram Pics Of The Starbucks Unicorn Frapp That Look Better Than It Tastes
The rumors were true, everyone.
Starbucks was taken over by unicorns on Wednesday, April 19, and it only took 24 hours for the magical creatures to spew rainbows all over our Instagram feeds.
Based off the fact unicorns have already made their way into lattes, milkshakes and cafes, it was only a matter of time before they dove into our favorite Starbucks drinks.
They finally did, though — and the splash they made is memorizing.
Look at that beaut. It's pretty damn magical, right?
According to Starbucks, the sweet 'n sour drink is created with crème Frappuccino blended into sweet pink powder and mango syrup. The cup is lined with a sour blue drizzle to give the frapp an enchanted look, and topped with whipped cream, sour blue and sweet pink powder.
If you're into liquefying your SweeTarts and drinking them for breakfast, this sounds like the perfect beverage for you.
Some people, on the other hand, don't like it too much.
It's "so pretty, but so disgusting."
Ouch...
Baristas agree that it "tastes terrible."
Thankfully, we're living in a world where it doesn't matter how delicious a drink is, as long as it looks pretty on Instagram.
You see, that's the special thing about the Unicorn Frappuccino. No matter how awful it may taste, it looks freakin' gorgeous in photos.
Naturally, people are snapping pics of the frappuccino and posting them to Insta before even taking a sip -- and they're making the drinks look a lot better than they may actually taste.
Lots of people positioned their frappuccinos in front of gardens to highlight the beautiful blues and pinks swirled around in their cups.
The flowers match the sweet and sour powders almost perfectly.
Double the frapp, double the beauty.
I don't care how this drink tastes. IT'S GORGEOUS.
It might taste like "sour gummy worms," but it's still pretty AF.
Other people are using paintings behind the frapp to make it look even prettier.
...it's definitely working.
The mural makes it pop, doesn't it?
Blank walls are fine too, though.
Some daring fashionistas are even dying their hair to match the Unicorn Frappuccino.
That's serious committment.
This chick even included a green straw in her bun.
Heck, they're even painting their nails to match the blue swirls.
Now that is fashion dedication.
Speaking of fashion, let's not forget about Lisa Frank.
She made unicorns cool.
As you can see, these clever ladies have utilized Instagram to make the Unicorn Frappuccino look a lot better than it supposedly tastes.
If you haven't tried one yet, give it sip. If you don't like the way it tastes, you can always post a picture of it instead.
