This American Soldier Caught His First Pokémon While Fighting ISIS In Iraq

You haven't reached Pokémon Master level until you've caught Squirtle on an ISIS battlefield.

Yeah, you heard that right.

Some absolute maverick soldier has seriously upped the Pokémon Go game by posting an image of him throwing a ball in northern Iraq next to a mammoth gun. Gnarly.

Louis Park shared this on Facebook:

Not even extremists can quell this guy's thirst to catch 'em all. He wrote,

Just caught my first pokemon on the Mosul front line by Teleskuf. Daesh, come challenge me to a pokemon battle. Mortars are for pussies

Strong, unforgiving words from Louis.

So how is it that Louis is playing Pokémon Go on the front line in dusty Iraq and people in the UK can't even download it yet?

The Nintendo app, originally released in Australia, came out of nowhere and is currently dominating the lives of many.

And the US is getting so into it some of us are almost dying. We've heard some ridiculous Pokémon stories, but this one tops them all.

We hope he catches all the terrorists as well.
