Proposing to your girlfriend can be pretty nerve wracking, and the outcome can change the whole course of your life.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise guys want everything to be absolutely perfect when they finally drop down on one knee and pop the question.

While a lot of men seem to pull off their proposals without any major problems, one Atlanta Hawks fan wasn't so lucky.

In a video caught by the kiss cam at the game, everything starts off pretty well.

As soon as the camera zooms in on the couple, you can see the guy pointing and telling his girlfriend to look at the jumbo-tron.

The kiss cam captures the couple sharing a smooch.

Then, the guy catches his girlfriend off guard when he drops down on one knee and pulls out a ring.

The woman looks overjoyed as he asks holds out the ring and asks for her hand in marriage. But little does the couple know, everything is about to go to hell.

Before the man has a chance to slip the ring on her finger, a rowdy fan comes out of nowhere and aggressively pats the guy on the back to congratulate him.

This causes him to drop the engagement ring.

As the man frantically searches the stands for the ring, bystanders jumped in to help find the missing diamond.

After a few seconds, the rowdy fan also tries to lend a hand, but the girlfriend makes it pretty clear he's done enough already.

If you ask me, the only thing more embarrassing than screwing up your proposal is having an entire stadium of people witness your cringe-worthy attempt to pop the question.

There is no word yet on whether the couple managed to find the ring.
