Guys Record Moment A Knife-Wielding Clown Starts Chasing Them Through Woods
I don't use the word "hate" often, but I can confidently say that I hate clowns very, very much.
Why? Because they're terrifying — especially when they chase you down the road with a knife.
YUP. THAT HAPPENED.
It didn't happen to me, though (thank God, because I don't think I'd be mentally stable enough to type this right now if it did). But, it did happen to two joggers on their morning run, and they filmed the entire thing.
Are you traumatized? Because I am.
According to the video's description on YouTube, the footage was filmed by Chase Prior and his friend Patrick Williams during their morning run.
He wrote that the two started running on a bike trail in an area where clowns had allegedly been spotted, but he didn't think they'd become the next victims to a sighting.
The video begins with Prior narrating the eerie scene. First, he says,
So, Patrick and I were out here running, and I swear to fucking God, man, we just saw a clown up over the suspension bridge, and I'm sort of freaking out about it.
Then, the brave souls walk toward the bridge and find exactly what they suspected: a clown.
A fucking clown.
Instead of running away or calling the police like a normal person would do, Prior decided to confront the clown and yells "Yo, what the fuck are you doing, man?"
UGH. NOT GOOD.
After a few more words of advice thrown at the colorful criminal, the joggers realize that he has a knife, and they quickly turn around and begin running for their lives.
Little did they know, that the clown was running full-speed behind them.
RUN, FORREST, RUN.
Unfortunately, the video stops before we get to see what happens to the joggers, but we can assume that they made it out OK based off of their posting.
Although this footage seems legit, there are a lot of people who think this is just a hoax.
One skeptical YouTube user commented, saying,
This is so obviously set up that seeing people actually believe this shit makes me lose all faith in humanity.
Another user made a good point about the video. She said,
Okay Chase, the vid looks real but please explain to us why it's the only video on your page called 'Random Viral Videos'. Seems like you're trying to get a page going that makes $ so 'Hey, let's see if we can make our own viral video!' And it worked. If this was real, then you need to update us on what happened after you contacted the police, which any sane person would do.
Whether the video is fake or not, clown sightings have been reported throughout the nation, and most of them have been lurking in the woods.
If you do see a clown in your neighborhood, definitely don't confront it; just run.
