Yes, there are more iPhone 8 rumors swirling, and some folks are now claiming the coveted new iPhone might come with a SmartCam feature that will allow users to take beautiful scenic pictures. That's some futuristic stuff, guys. This news comes after Apple released firmware for their upcoming HomePods.

That firmware release really revealed a lot about the iPhone 8.

Based off this rumor, if you find yourself in a beautiful location -- like an exotic beach or beautiful mountain town -- all you have to do is point and shoot. And that's it! Your iPhone 8's supposed SmartCam feature will do the rest by choosing the best settings for any shot, 9to5 Mac reports.

Twitter user @_Inside took a deeper look into the leaked firmware and found codes for a number of scenes including Baby, Firework, Pet, and Snow. If the rumor is true, that means all of the pictures taken on the iPhone 8 will be fabulous.

SmartCam will not only work to take amazing photos, though. It's been reported the new feature might exclusively work with Apple Pay. Apparently, it'll work by using facial recognition instead of Touch ID, which makes sense because the iPhone 8 is rumored to have a much sleeker screen with no home button.

Honestly, the thought of using facial recognition alone freaks me out, much less using my likeness to pay for things. It sounds like something straight out of a Sci-Fi horror film, but like any new device, I'll probably adjust.

SmartCam will allegedly work alone to unlock the iPhone 8, enable Apple Pay, and take amazing pictures. What won't the new iPhone be able to do?

Well, it probably won't come in white and it probably won't come cheap. The iPhone 8 is rumored to start at the $1,200 price point.

But, hey, if you're looking to invest in a professional grade camera, you might as well save up and just wait for the iPhone 8.
