As any sun worshipper will tell you, all that vitamin D comes at a price.
Usually that price is freckles.
And as a girl who grew up in the Ocean State, I can totally relate to Australian singer Ricki-Lee Coulter, who posted a sweet makeup-free snap of herself to her Instagram account.
Along with the photo, she also shared the nice memories she made getting all those little reminders of her time in the sun.
Check out her makeup-free selfie:
Coulter's caption read:
When I was a little girl I hated my freckles but one day my Pop told me they were just a whole lot of beauty spots & that girls with freckles are special. Now I love them!
Sadly, because this is the Internet, Coulter's photo was met with some pretty harsh backlash from not-so-friendly fans.
But Coulter had the perfect response ready for the haters. She commented,
It makes me so sad that there are people out there that are so miserable in their own lives that they will turn a candid moment and a beautiful memory into something negative and nasty. Please - do me and everyone else here a favour and unlike my page, then go and get yourself a life. X
Step off haters. Freckles are #FLAWLESS.
