It's the most first world problem ever. But this is AMERICA, damn it, and we won't stand for Starbucks running out of coconut milk.
That's right: Baristas alerted us to the shortage earlier this week on a Reddit thread. But by that time, it was already too late.
Now, it's all GONE.
It all started when Starbucks announced it would launch an iced coconut milk macchiato. Then, people got hooked onto the coconut milk. Now, it's a popular substitution for water.
Look at this awesome hue:
The struggle is real. Take a look for yourself.
My heart bleeds for you and your "bad surprise," Carrie.
Starbucks, please stop punishing Katie. What did she ever do to you?
Shout out to Dunkin' Donuts.
Someone, please retrain Christina's mom.
I'm soy sorry for your loss.
Starbucks ran out of coconut milk and I have to settle for soy — elación☽ (@chicapeaa) July 20, 2016
Emily, please, no: Violence is not the answer.
A spokesperson for Starbucks said,
We're happy to confirm that Starbucks has a healthy coconut milk supply. As you can imagine, our stores may run low on product from time to time based on ordering cycles and seasonal interest, but this is not something we're seeing at our stores across the board.
But isn't it amazing that some people have so little going on in their lives, they can take the time out of their day to complain about the lack of coconut milk in their Starbucks drinks? I envy these people.
