Alaha Majid, 27, is a professional makeup artist in New York City who did just that. Last week, she shared photos on her Instagram of herself applying a full face of makeup -- from contouring to false lashes -- mid-labor.
In the post, she wrote,
Three weeks ago at this time I was finishing up my makeup and getting ready for my princess to make her appearance. Yes, I was doing my makeup while I was in labor!
She said when the pain of her contractions got to be too much, she had her husband take over.
Honestly, I hope this will be me someday if I'm ever in labor.
She kills the birthing game, for real.
Her pics even went low-key viral on Twitter.
Now, she's out there as a new mom, still looking just as fab.
Listen, she looked great, and it was probably a nice distraction from the pain of literally giving another human being life. Why shouldn't Mom look glam AF on one of the biggest days of her life?
Alaha's daughter, Sofia Alaya Karimi, was born on February 15 and will no doubt have her makeup game on point by the age of 3.
