The 18 Dumbest Questions Sports Reporters Have Ever Asked Athletes

For some reason, reporters decide to say some super dumb things during playoff season.

Last week, one journalist, who is probably better off remaining nameless, asked Kyrie Irving how much of a father figure LeBron James is to Irving and the rest of the Cavaliers.

Then, Brian Windhorst And Skip Bayless went on "First Take" and talked about how the best post-game press conference moment of the playoffs, between Steph Curry and his twin/baby Riley Curry, should've never happened.

Why? Because kids are a distraction to the something important, or whatever.

In any event, we're going to give these obviously talented reporters the benefit of the doubt and call these "brain farts." In honor of those brain farts, here are 20 of the dumbest questions sports reporters have ever asked.

When this reporter expected Bryce Harper to say he drinks, even though he was under 21 at the time...

When Russell Westbrook was asked if his team lost, or if the other team won...

When Kobe was asked if the Lakers can guard the Thunder...

When LeBron and D-Wade were asked... whatever this was...

When Richard Sherman was asked whether or not he's the best corner in the league, as if he hadn't already said it 1,000 times...

This... to Rex Ryan...

When Steve Smith was asked if he'd cheer for a team he just lost a playoff game to...

When Kevin Durant was asked if he was happy for Dirk Nowitzki, after Dirk Nowitzki knocked him out of the playoffs...

When Nick Saban was asked how AJ McCarron looks as a magazine cover boy...

When Landon Donovan was asked if Michael Jackson's death would impact his team's performance before a big final against Brazil...

When Tom Brady was asked to snitch on Wes Welker...

When Marshawn Lynch was baited with "Inner City Charities" questions when he wouldn't talk to the media...

When Kurt Busch was asked if being on probation affected his performance...

When Jay Leno asked Michael Jordan if he can still dunk...

When Shaq was asked whether or not he'd suck a snake's venom for an NBA title...

When Russell Westbrook was asked if his teammate was worth max money after a playoff win...

When a reporter said this to Allen Iverson at the end of the infamous "practice" rant...

When Phil Mickelson was asked if he was "looking forward to the Masters" as if it's not the biggest event in golf...

Bonus: Whatever this was, from Neil Everett...
