Just in case you didn't know, Michael Jordan now makes over $100 million a year from royalties generated by Nike's Jordan brand products.
It's a disgustingly rich statistic, but it's pretty old news.
But now, after ESPN did a bit of number crunching, there's a new statistic for us to marvel at: Michael Jordan made more in one year than he did during his whole playing career.
That much is made clear by comparing the amount generated by Jordan's apparel royalties with estimates of his total playing salary -- about $94 million, according to Forbes.
That $94 million is not adjusted for inflation in this comparison. Still, it shows the extent Jordan's deal with Nike helped to make him a billionaire.
