No One Loved Jimmy Fallon's Ryan Lochte Impression More Than Michael Phelps
Jimmy Fallon is one of the funniest dudes out there right now, and when he came to the stage at MTV's Video Music Awards dressed as embattled US swimmer Ryan Lochte, well, you knew it was going to be good.
One glimpse of Fallon dressed in US Olympic gear -- complete with a medal and silver hair -- sent the Madison Square Garden crowd into an uproar of laughter, but no one had a better reaction than Lochte's US swimming teammate, Michael Phelps.
Before Fallon announced Beyoncé's "Hold Up" as the Video of the Year, he rattled off quite a few Ryan Lochte jokes. He said,
Is it too late now to say sorry? That's my jam. I wrote it, I produced it, and I directed the vid-jeah.
He continued,
I'm the one who gave Adele the flip phone. I taught Drake the 'Hotline Bling' dance. I had a 30-way with Kanye West. I made 'Lemonade' with Beyonce. I'm Reezy with the good hair!
Fallon's greatest line, though, had to be when he said,
(The videos are) so good, I couldn't choose. I couldn't choose, even if there was a gun to my head.
Yeah, he went there, and Phelps couldn't control himself when he did.
And the award for best impression of the night goes to...
