The Venice Film Festival is always a star-studded event, and this year Florence Pugh walked its red carpet looking like a star-studded night sky. While the actor has steered clear of talking about the viral drama surrounding her newest film, Don’t Worry Darling, Pugh brought the drama herself in a Valentino ‘fit.

Pugh was styled by Rebecca Corbin Murray, who clearly knows a thing or two about creating a main character moment. The off-the-shoulder neckline and voluminous sleeves of Pugh’s Valentino gown were high glam, while the open skirt created a playful, youthful vibe.

The boning on Pugh’s bodysuit sent me. The bodice’s sheer fabric didn’t conceal the corsetry details, which added a level of sultry sophistication to the look, and it fit the Don’t Worry Darling star like a glove.

Pugh was clearly feeling herself and struck pose after pose on the carpet. The open skirt and train of her gown gave her ample fabric for dramatic swishing and, let me just say, our girl swished that ruffled train like an alien superstar.

Pugh’s gown worked just as hard from the back as it did from the front. The swath of glitter-printed tulle looked like a starry night, and Pugh, at its center, looked all the more radiant for it.

I would like to take a moment to applaud Pugh’s choice of footwear. The delicate sprays of black feathers on the ankle strap of her heels is utterly extra and I am so here for it.

I also need to point out that there was almost nothing holding these stiletto heels onto Pugh’s feet aside from a band of feathers and sheer willpower, making her impressive poses all the more, you know, impressive.

Celeb MUA Alex Babsky kept Pugh’s glam rosy and subtle. Her lip color was a true rose and her cheeks had a bit of bronze glow, but Babsky wisely didn’t go too hard with the makeup, allowing Pugh’s natural beauty — and that swirling galaxy of a gown — to shine.

Is that a glazed doughnut manicure I spy? I think it’s possible, because Pugh’s short nails definitely had that signature glazed doughnut milky, pale glow. Next to her Tiffany & Co. daisy ring, her mani was perfectly understated.

Whether or not you plan to see Pugh’s performance in Don’t Worry Darling, your life has already undoubtedly improved after seeing her Don’t Worry Darling premiere ‘fit from every angle.
