Kravis Was #CoupleGoals At The Met Gala In Matching Suits And Skirts

Now that's how you make your Met Gala debut.

After a season filled with cool Kravis styles — including matching all-black ‘fits at the Oscars and pops of color at the Grammys — Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker rounded out their red carpet promo tour with their 2022 Met Gala debut. And, let me tell you, it was a lesson in cool.

The couple made their Met Gala debut in matching Thom Browne. Barker wore a pleated skirt and tails, bringing a punk edge to the white tie aesthetic of the gilded age.

When asked about the gilded age theme during a red carpet interview, Kardashian admitted, "I honestly didn't really think about it," but went on to describe her look as a deconstructed version of Barker’s tailored ‘fit.

You can see the relationship between the ensembles. There’s consistency through the layering, pleating, and tailoring, although Kardashian’s look seriously plays with proportion and is definitely holds bigger fashion risks.

Another way to view the visual dialogue between the ‘fits? “[My look is his] dripping off of him,” Kardashian explained. And, quite frankly, that makes a lot of sense.

Love it or hate it, the fact that Kravis thoughtfully wore ‘fits that had something to say to one another is kind of adorable. It’s like matching t-shirts except, you know, couture.
