The loss of Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played T'Challa in Black Panther, left a hole in the world. Wakanda, along with the rest of the MCU and the lives of many IRL folks, was forever changed. Nobody knows that better than Letitia Wright, the actor rumored to be stepping into Boseman’s superhero suit.

At the Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday, Oct. 26, Wright paid tribute to Boseman with both her ‘fit and the poses she struck on the red carpet. Grab your tissues now because Wright’s Black Panther 2 premiere outfit is going to make your eyes water.

The Black Panther actor wore a tailored Alexander McQueen crystal body harness and suit from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 Ready to Wear collection.

Wright’s glittering body harness echoed the embroidered lapels of the Givenchy suit that Boseman donned at the 2018 Academy Awards. The reference was so strong that Twitter immediately took note.

The Black Mirror actor accessorized with a panther (!!!) ring, large stud earrings, and a diamond bracelet. According to Instagram Stories posted by Shiona Turini, Wright’s stylist, all that drip is Cartier.

Boseman also wore a number of chunky rings along with a glittering black gemstone bracelet with his ‘18 Oscars look.

Most touchingly, Wright struck the same crossed-arms pose that Boseman did on the red carpet. If seeing this traditional Wakandan greeting doesn’t get you misty-eyed, your heart is made of either stone or ice.

Given how close the Black Panther cast reportedly was, Boseman’s loss surely was, and continues to be, felt acutely. Even so, thanks to tributes like Wright’s, his presence will be part of Blank Panther and Wakanda forever.
