Fresh from the ’80s, Lil Nas X shone in his oversized, iridescent suit at the iHeart Radio Awards. He styled it with white, platform go-go boots and a baby Telfar bag. The piece was designed by up-and-coming Swedish designer Selam Fessahaye.

For the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, the rapper stunned in a lime green-and-pink, snakeskin print leather suit. Paired with Lil Nas X’s tightly curled hair, tinted glasses, and dangle earrings, this outfit couldn’t ring more of Prince if it tried.

Lil Nas X changed the red carpet game forever with his cowboy glam look at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The custom Versace suit is seared into my memory with itsbubble gum color, western notes, and unforgettable pink leather harness.

Lil Nas X’s pink ‘fit wasn’t the look the 22-year-old wore at the 2020 Grammys. Looking like the villain in an old Western movie, the rapper finished his performance of “Old Town Road” and “Rodeo” in a black duster so shiny, it looked like an oil spill. Naturally, he kept the theme going with a blinged-up cowboy hat.

This patchwork sweater-and-pants combo has an undeniable punk aesthetic to it. All the loose threads give a tattered fringe that flows and bounces with each of his movements. Lil Nas X, Vivienne Westwood is calling and she wants her clothes back.

Wardrobe malfunction aside, Lil Nas X’s flaming micro crop top and matching, lace-up, leather pants were everything and more during his SNL performance on May 24. The look is so fire, I don’t even mind that he didn’t get to do his whole pole routine.

Lil Nas X clearly loves a monochromatic moment, and he slays in this all-orange look. Although it’s simpler than some of his other ‘fits, he looks like the coolest kid on the block, especially with his wide-leg, skater boy pants. Still, the fitted turtleneck and clear sunglasses give this look a more fashionable, chic edge.

Taking his costume from his “HOLIDAY” music video for a spin, Lil Nas X rocked the metallic look to Target. Between the swoopy Jimmy Neutron hair, blinding metallic snow pants, and iconic moon boots, this outfit is a tough one to top for anyone else. Knowing the rapper, he’ll top it tomorrow.
