If you’re a fan of true crime podcasts, dark comedies, Selena Gomez, or all three, Only Murders in the Building, a show that follows three people living in the same building who try to solve a murder, is it for you. As of Sept. 7, there are only four of the eight episodes out, and it’s already spell-binding. However, one of the most eye-catching parts is Gomez’s character Mabel Mora’s fashion sense. She balances timeless looks with streamlined, New York City aesthetics. Here are Gomez’s best looks in the series so far.

In viewers’ first sighting of Gomez in the series, the actor makes quite a stylish impression. Her beanie and cropped sweater are a matching mustard yellow, offsetting her brown fur jacket. Rather than shy away from a statement, the look is tied together with plaid pants — a funky, color-blocked introduction.

Gomez is the epitome of cozy in her night-time garb. Even bed-ready, Mabel is clearly all about style. She’s wrapped up in a long cardigan, a lacy cami, and comfy grey pajama pants.

It doesn’t get more modern, New York City-casual than a set of coveralls, and Gomez double-downed on the look with chunky booties. She even has the pants rolled up for a relaxed touch. Of course, her gold hoops make an appearance, too.

Nothing indicates a peaceful morning like a fuzzy, oversized sweater. From the second episode of Only Murders in the Building, Gomez starts her day with a puffy-sleeved, abstract patterned sweater that’s so chunky and cozy, you can see the fuzz popping off of it.

Gomez is giving off serious ‘60s energy with her black turtleneck, suede skirt, and black tights. It’s a timeless fall outfit that you should definitely recreate.

When Mabel parties, she goes all out with her clothes. For this rooftop shindig, she pattern-blocked a black-and-gold sequin dress and a furry, zebra-print coat. The true-crime enthusiast tops the look off with pink feathers in her hair.

You know it’s a good outfit when a character stays in it for almost an entire episode. Although her cropped turtleneck sweater and light-wash blue jeans are simple, the graphic red pops in every scene she steals.

In another amazing turtleneck moment, Gomez’s cream-colored shirt and chocolate, lacquered jacket are a tonal match made in heaven. What you can’t see is that underneath the fabulous jacket is an equally fabulous sweater vest that makes an appearance in her next scene.
