Finding the perfect foundation could be the most difficult aspect of creating your makeup collection. Everyone has a different skin type, and it’s hard to match your unique skin to a generic product released by a major company.
There are ways to help make this process easier though. Which kind of foundation should you use for your skin type?
If you have normal skin, you’re lucky, in the sense that you could wear any kind of foundation formula, whether it’s liquid, cream, mousse or powder.
If you have dry skin, do not use powder foundations. Powder foundations will only dry your skin out even more than it already is. Focus on purchasing a liquid or cream foundation, as they’ll help to hydrate your skin.
If your skin is oily, try finding a great powder foundation that will match your personal skin tone. That, or a mattifying liquid foundation.
Combination skin ladies: treat your skin as normal and wear whichever formulation you life; however, it’s best to have a powder puff in your purse to help tone down the shine when your oily T-zone kicks in.
