Porn Star James Deen Responds To Rape Accusation From Costar

by Emily Arata

A heartbreaking social media post may mean the end of porn star James Deen's career.

On Saturday, adult performer Stoya tweeted her disgust at repeatedly seeing Deen's name paired with "feminist" online. She went on to say that Deen, her one-time boyfriend and costar, once ignored her safeword and raped her.

The tweet sparked the hashtag StandWithStoya, emphasizing the importance of believing rape victims.

Today, a second woman came forward to share her account of an alleged brutal assault at the hands of Deen. In a personal essay for The Daily Beast, former porn star Tori Lux detailed Deen's violent abuse on the set of an adult film.

A third actress, Ashley Fires, has since come forward with an account of her own assault.

In response to the claims, The Frisky published a blog post detailing its decision to pull Deen's sex column.

The star himself called the claims "egregious" in a subsequent Instagram post.

Stoya tweeted her reaction to Deen's famously feminist persona.

That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks. — Stoya (@stoya) November 28, 2015
James Deen held me down and fucked me while I said no, stop, used my safeword. I just can't nod and smile when people bring him up anymore. — Stoya (@stoya) November 28, 2015

Deen responded to the claim on Instagram, captioning the photo, "No comment." He also reiterated the statement on Twitter.
