Miranda Kerr is one of Victoria’s Secret’s most loved and adored Angels, which is why fans everywhere got nervous when rumors started flying around the internet, claiming that Kerr was moving on from the lingerie company.
US Weekly reported that Kerr’s 3-year $1 million contract with the brand would not be renewed for various reasons. Rumors as to what these reasons were stated that Kerr had a “difficult reputation” and that she was “not a big seller for VS”. I’m calling bullshit right there.
Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Victoria’s Secret, issued the following statement in response:
Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business–and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed.
As long as we’ll still see her strutting her stuff down the runway, I’m not too upset about this development. How do you feel?
